Mommy, You're Never Gonna Believe This

Here's a cute story from my husband's past. He likes to tell it every once in awhile.

Way back when he was oh so much younger, he used to haul dog food into the South, and as far south as Miami. Sometimes a return load of fruit wasn't available right away, so he and some of his friends, who were also waiting for return loads, would go to the beach for swimming, sunshine and just plain old relaxation.

On one particular day the ocean was a bit testy and the waves were higher than usual. But they went in anyway. This was around the time Jaws was in the theaters.

It wasn't long before a big ole wave smacked him upside the head so hard it knocked his bottom set of dentures out. He never found them. But he did find humor in what happened that day.

He turned to his buddy and said "Imagine them washing up onto the beach and a little kid comes along, sees them, and yells 'jaws! jaws!'"

Some fish out there may be wearing those dentures and putting fear into the other fish they know! Funny story, but it'd be bad to lose your dentures like that!!
